From April 18th to 22nd, the EU-China Week on Aviation Research: New Technologies for a Greener Horizon of Aviation will take place in Brussels hosted by the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics (VKI), to celebrate the completion of the project GRAIN 2, and launch four new projects between China and Europe in greener aeronautics: DRAGY, ECO-COMPASS, EMUSIC and IMAGE. The one-week event will commemorate the 10 years of bilateral cooperation between China and Europe that started with the Aerochina project, under the 6th Framework Programme.
The EU-China Week on Aviation Research will start with the celebration of an Open Workshop / Forum that will be focused on the state of the art in the different technologies involved in the Key Green Technologies (KGTs) of GRAIN2: Propulsion related technologies; flight physics and aero-acoustics; environmentally friendly materials and advanced structures; and Advanced CNS/ATM systems for sustainable air transport. The workshop will be of interest to engineers and researchers involved in areas of greening technologies for aviation, as well experts, decision-makers and officials interested in aeronautics co-operation between China and Europe. Registration is available here.
