The newsletter is dead! Long live the newsletter! Welcome to the 69th edition of our e-newsletter and the first one under new format.
Since January 2016 we switched away from the old format of monthly newsletter, starting instead to send out our weekly Flash Notes packed with Sino-European research related news and opportunities. But fear not, if you were a fan of the newsletter, it is not all gone.
The first issue of our new quarterly newsletter IS ATTACHED in PDF.
This new edition is shorter than before and focuses more on longer term developments and hot topics that compliments the more current updates of our flash notes.
This quarters' content includes briefings about the Chinese government's new measures to attract foreign talent that might affect the environment of European researchers working in China, details about the new co-funding mechanism of Ministry of Science and Technology for Chinese participants in Horizon 2020 and Ministry of Science and Technology (with similar measures now also available in Hong Kong and Macau).
In addition to this, this issue's spotlight will be on the research infrastructure of one of our EURAXESS country members: Spain. It's a comprehensive overview that includes all the different programmes and institutions that make Spain an attractive destination for international researchers.
Let's not forget this issue's interviews: An insight with Prof Wu Ling-An, a great member of the EURAXESS community here in China based at the Institute of Physics (CAS), and three Marie Curie fellows: Prof Zhihong Hu, Dr Marie-Luce Chevalier and Prof Dongchao Min. Together they form the March "Meet the Researcher" series, dedicated to women in science.
